Soulmates Saga, Book 3 Extras

First, the songs that didn't make the cut in this book. Both song-titles begin with a P, hah! These didn't end up in the final version as there were a couple of songs that better summed up Jamie's mood and emotions.

Plummeting
I listen,
To the sound of my voice and it feels like a stranger’s.
I listen,
To the beat of my heart and it doesn’t feel like it’s in my chest.
I wonder,
If the sky is crumbling down coz it seems like the world is falling.
I ask you,
But you don’t make a sound and I ask myself why you are stalling.
I try to,
Figure it out but a voice in my head says it’s me who is plummeting down.
Through the sky.
Through the air.
Past the stars.
Plummeting down

Punishment
I was the only one to blame,
And I will take it like a man.
I won’t hide behind your shoulders,
I will step up and demand.
Punishment,
Punishment,
Punishment.
I will offer up my palm,
Take the whip and bring it down.
I will not wince or cry out in pain,
Gag my mouth with binding chain.
Punishment,
Punishment,
Punishment.

Now, would you like the recipe to Mukti's spicy chocolate sauce? I thought you might.

Ingredients:
1 cup double cream (240ml)

3-4 green cardamom pods

1 stick of cinnamon

1-2 bay leaves

1 cup dark chocolate ships (190g)

1 knob of butter

Method:

In a saucepan, add your cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves and cream.
Gently heat the cream on a low heat, constantly stirring so it doesn't stick to the pan.
Just as bubbles appear around the edges of the pan, turn the heat off.
Quickly take out the spices from the hot cream with a slotted spoon and add the chocolate chips.
Stir until all the chocolate is melted, before adding a knob of butter to make the sauce silky and shiny.
Serve with vanilla or chocolate ice cream.

Also, if you want to picture Jamie singing Make You Feel My Love, this version by Sleeping At Last isn't too far off (though Jamie's voice is a lot more powerful, and he'd perform it with a more urgent vibe to it):
